Coilovers time again and hopefully some new rims.

Post by docurley » Wed Oct 11, 2017 8:18 pm

Well I took the car in for a pre MOT and inner near side CV boot gone (getting that done tomorrow) and signs of misting on shocks, so another set of Bilstien b14 on order plus I'm hoping to buy a set of Stasis 20” rims from the classifieds if I can.

I will be fitting the shocks but this time not on my driveway as that took me 15hrs on my tod. So with that in mind I found a place in NW10 that hire out their lift for £20 an hour and after 4hrs you get it free for the rest of the day so plan set once the coilovers are in.

Forgot to add, I know b14's do not come with caps for the DRC so I found somewhere the size of the threads and bought a bag of these for £6 so all good and if anyone need some caps let me know.

why are you capping it? the bilsteins wont fail and by the time they do the lines under the car will be corroded

Mainly so the residue fluid don't go everywhere.

Wheels on with 12mm Spacers up front and 15mm rear but I think I need 20mm all round to get them flush.

The wheels look great. Suit the car very well IMO.

Very nice, especially the colour, works very well with silver.
Did the caps fit ok?

Wheels looking good . Considered painting mirror caps same colour ? Ride height is good too.

Ride height is stock non-ss+ so I'm quite surprised but I have coilovers waiting to go on. I have a spare set of brand new mirror caps that I can get painted which I was thinking about doing.

What caps we talking about if you mean the wheel center caps they came with their own.
