Service it! Should be 6000miles or 365 days what ever comes first!
I do service every 6 month roughly.

There is a way to reset the light / reminder.

Google reset Audi rs4 service light.

If it's been a year since last service you should really change the oil..

Or could just be the interval was not reset on your last oil change.

I'd get it serviced, oil degradates over time. If you've only done 600 miles in a year the oil hasn't really been up to tempreature many times.

do it yourself and save the reciepts
main dealers are fine for really new stuff/warranties etc
give me a decent indy stamp or keen owner with reciepts anyday
BUT there will be folk who like to see audi stamps etc

as for the 600 miles on the year old oil bit-has it had loads of very small runs? if its had a couple of decent runs it will be fine-if lots cold starts-never up to temperature i"d change it

Personally, if it says it needs a service then it needs a service. Depends if it currently had full audi service history and whether you intend to keep that up or not. I'd pay less for a car that was serviced by the owner rather than Audi. In fact I'd probably avoid buying any car serviced by the owner.

Hi I am in the same boat done 500 miles this year and not using the car at all but I still get the oil and filter changed and car checked over from my local indie book gets stamped costs around £200.00 but due to lack of use it will shortly need to find a new home as insuring and taxing it seems silly.

they dont call them stealers for nothing lol...to be fair in the case of the rs4 b7 they have to remove the undertray as you cant suck the oil out of them...so thats a few minutes right there..to be honest its a good time to check oil cooler pipework etc as you can see most if not all of it with undertray off-plus a good going over

I just had an oil and filter change at my indi, got them to have a good squint at the coolers and pipework while they were under it. 160 quid, so very reasonable and a well respected rs garage too.

You guys over the water seem to b getting better deals with Audi than us in Northern Ireland 😳I was quoted £350 by Portadown Audi i would like the stamp in the book but at that price I think it's mad especially when you can get the oil and filter under £100 if you look in the right places but I'd always use Audi oil filter
