New car advice

Post by Rhinonuts » Wed Mar 29, 2017 8:19 pm

Hi there .
New to the forum, am looking at buying an rs4
Very soon. Seen one I like that has shown
(Weeping on the front shocks)
Is a slight weeping ok? Or is it Drc problems
Coming ?
Any advice would be great

Where did you get your wind deflectors from?

Rhino, if there's weeping on the shocks the DRC is on the way out, it'll only be a matter of time.

At the moment the only thing I am heading towards is avant, any colour considered, flat
Steering wheel, prefer below 80k. The one I'm looking at is 17k 75k miles avant . What do you think about weeping shocks

Just off ebay mate. I know there is alot of hate for them but i like them.
If the shocks are weeping it mean the system would have lost / loosing its pressure so you would be needing coilovers soon

If shocks weeping then ask for a the cost to replace and recharge for sure as the DRC is a walking time bomb and this one has already lit the fuse but this should not put you off.

Audi told me about £800 a corner for drc,
If its the car you want and can knock a decent bit off the asking then just buy it, if they wont budge then move on.
If you dont mind shelling out loads on the drc or getting coilovers then dont worry about it. Theres arguments to both types of shocks but if i knew when i bought my car about the possible issues then id have looked for a car that had already had them removed.
