just a thought about the coking up
just a thought about the coking up
Looking at all the pictures of coked up and de-coked cars i can't help but notice how rough the casting is. Would it be better to have that polished to make it harder for the carbon to adhere to?
Re: just a thought about the coking up
The valve itself is a fairly polished surface and that still gets mucked up. It may be beneficial but I doubt it would be significant enough that you would notice.

yeah i suppose so, just frustrating you can't have the engine at it full potential without spending silly money every 5 to 10k..... or whatever it is....Donovan wrote:The valve itself is a fairly polished surface and that still gets mucked up. Probably loads of other threads on it. Best bet would be to speak to Doug or Ben at MRC.

This is what I was thinking too, surely we could coat it, possibly a ceramic coating. This way it would be highly heat resistant as well as non stick.
