Broken Rear Spring

Post by JmRS4 » Sat May 21, 2016 5:33 pm

Thought my drivers side rear has been low all week, got round to jacking it up today only to discover the spring has snapped. Is this a Tps or Audi thing cause can't see them on eurocarparts or gsf website. Is it worth getting some hr lowering springs or just sticking with standard? Thanks.

That's where I was thinking. Take it I can do one side and don't have to do both?

No harm doing one side and leaving the other. But to replace one you need to disconnect the ARB and drop the subframe
RS4 B7 Saloon Milltek Cat back, CAF with piper cross panel, Wrapped optics black, Satin black wheels, TRUPS LED front DRL's & sides, goodridge braided hoses, H&R 10/15mm spares front/rear
Bilstien B16 coilovers with H&R anti roll bars
MRC stage 2 deflapped, precat gutted 439ps 481nm torque
1/4 mile time 12.884sec

My clutch replacement write up can be found here viewtopic.php?f=35&t=116929&start=15

I just done the one side, other Spring is visibly good looking and now sits as it should. There seems to be a superseded part for it now, the Spring is smaller in diameter and doesn't match the colours that were on it originally
