Good insurers for mrc stage 2?

Post by obikaii » Sun Dec 20, 2015 9:23 pm

Just had the mrc stage 2 map, manifold & cold air feed,& my current insurer quote me happy wont continue my cover,so who should I go for, based on yor experience.
Apologies if this has been done before, but the best insurance companies seem to change year on year.

And try go compare for a selection of a handful of insurers and a baseline price.

Just re-insured through Sky insurance because of a few recommendations from here. Knocked off £235 from my renewal quote from A-plan. Got better cover and protect no claims (for what it's worth) thrown in as well!!!

They seem to specialise in performance and modified!!

Definitely definitely, 100%, call sky insurance.

Cheapest quote I had (and I tried all the comparison sites, Adrian flux, greenlight etc), and they also cover mods like for like.

Just doing the yearly phone calls, might save someone some time, greenlight are not insuring anymore audi rs4's as they are receiving too many claims.

I stayed with Adrian Flux for the year £740 with a agreed value of 22k.

That still seems expensive ^

Is ex8 not the best postcode?

I should have thought to look there. EX8 is a B rated postcode so not bad at all.

Slight tangent, but I pay £62 a year to insure my Peugeot 206 shitbox - was £112 PA but quidco got me £50 cashback bringing it to £5 a month. Now THAT'S cheap motoring!

As far as I know its a good postcode, low crime rate here in Exmouth, im happy with the quote from sky, protected ncb, only £350 excess, all mods covered,my girlfriend has no ncd either.,plus after 30 minutes sorting it out I couldn't be bothered to ring around any other companies.

That's the bottom line - if you're happy with it (and have run out of patience shopping round!).

Of course - any insurer is only as good as when you claim so hopefully you never actually find out how good they are :D
