Rear Parking sensor fault

Post by timsrs6 » Sat Nov 07, 2015 1:53 pm

Hi All

Got in my car today and found that the rera parking sensors we not working (fronts work fine)

When selecting reverse you get the normal short tone.

I have been round the rear of the car and can hear no clicking or pulsing from any of the sensors as if they are all dead with no power to them.

Where is the loom located.
Any ideas

Regards

It's a bumper off job as the two centre ones are not accessible, the two outer one's can be reached with the bumper on but extremely difficult.

I had two go on mine, the two centre ones which knocked out the other two sensors.

To be honest i cannot remember if they were working and how long they have gone bad.

I get no long tone or the button LED flashing.

I thought that the centre button flashed if a sensor goes bad ?

You should indeed get a long beep and a flashing yellow light on the parking sensor button if there is a faulty sensor.
