Anyone owned this car here?

I really want an RS4 and have had M3's previously but for some reason I'm just really scared of buying RS4 as they all seem so problematic?

Am I worrying about nothing?

Its 9 years old mate. If you go into with that understanding, read all the stickies here and have a fix it fund you'll be fine.

Lots of munters around these days tho. Tread carefully, suggest u wait for a sorted forum car from a member who has been around a while

That car is exactly what I'm after but it's in NI?

Also...

I want to finance it do you think he would be amenable to that? (I've financed a private car before through oracle)

Ah, didn't realise it was NI.
Keep an eye on the forum, one will come up

Try to get a bank loan if you can, will be cheaper, probably
Or
Try oracle finance, I'm not affiliated in anyway but they are well respected for 2nd hand finance, not sure if they do b7s tho

You can fly from any of the major mainland airports to Northern Ireland for buttons. I left home at 5.30am this morning and was in Birmingham at 8.30am and back home on my sofa at 8.00pm, regular daily flights from all London airports, liv, Manc, Glasgow, edin, etc etc.

Ferrys go frequently as well and are cheap also.

I've bought loads of cars over the years from the mainland and it's a doddle. Sometimes you have to travel for the right car.

Good luck with your search!

I bought my r32 from vw Bolton and my rs4 from trader in Essex. Keep trawling pistonheads, autotrader, rs246 & Audi-sport, make it a part of your daily ritual and when the right one comes up be decisive! I missed out on a couple of good ones before I got mine from mucking about. The good ones sell really really quickly.

That's what I'm afraid of I've been watching two and both been for sale for ages.

The ref above looked good and he has offered me well for my p/X but checked mot history and it has had some grim issues in the past.

Last mot the EML light was on

The issues are real and well documented. Do your research and take your time. Despite what people say, there are plenty to choose from. You'll know by the attitude of the seller when you've found the right one. I made a 700 mile round trip, half of which was on a one way train ticket before I took the plunge. All I've replaced is 2 tyres and dumped an aux radiator in favour of the cold air feed in my first 7 months of ownership and it's my daily drive. There's nothing to fear from having a well sorted RS4.

Cheers,
Bryan

Hi Stuart

Stu's RS4 is one of the best available.

No expense spared in upkeep at Revolution and it's an amazing spec too.

Think it might still be in the uk
