Just over £900 for Bilstein PSS B14's at Revolution. Give One of the Glenn's a call. Based in Newcastle too, so could fit for you.

Give them a call though, ask for Little Glenn, tell him you're a forum member and he'll sort you out.

I've driven an avant that had them fitted. It was also on 20's with very low profile rubber and it drove really well.

Ahh that sucks about the quote from Audi!!!!.

Sounds like your having more luck with selecting a set of coilovers though.

Yep it sure does but I think the coil overs is the best option.
Wasn't impressed with Stockport Audi the technician I spoke to said 3 of the shocks are leaking so we recommend you change all 4 and we recommend you change the central valve unit also
So I asked why is the valve unit gone also he said no it's just a recommendation but we will only do the work of you have it all done. Took me 3 calls just to find out if they even had a look at the car !! Not impressed !!

Sounds like they're pulling a fast one. Very unlikely the valve will be damaged from minor leak on the dampers. Given that you are the paying customer, I would have thought you tell them what you want done and they do it. That's what I've always done at least.

That's what I said but he refused saying to guarantee the work we would have to change all or nothing !!!

The whole of the DRC replacing for £2100!. I'd sign up for that. Shocks are c£200 each, flexi pipes c£100 each plus a recharge and fitting of shocks etc.

If you need the diagonal pipes replacing then you are talking c£700 in parts plus a lot of labour. That's before you even get to the argument about whether you need a new central valve or not.

I think you need a clear itemised list of parts they intend to replace before you decide what to do. Either that or just drive round to UNIT20 and get it done properly :)

As you are in the North West, I would strongly recommend trying Preston Audi if you decide to keep the original setup. I have first hand knowledge that they have replaced /regassed the DRC on several B7 RS4's recently.
Not all Audi dealerships have the equipment for the DRC - they have to 'rent it' from Audi, and it follows that without this equipment, the technicians may not be as familiar with DRC issues as those at a site who actually have bought their own. Preston actually own their own DRC equipment. I had issues with the DRC on my B8, and the dealership that I got the car from (Donacter Audi) didn't have their own, and had to get it to carry out the job. Had I known that, I may have gone elsewhere
Have had my B7 serviced regularly by Preston Audi; just know that they do know their DRC, in case it is of any help to you..

Thanks johnny it makes sense to give to a dealer with the equipment in house il bear in mind but I think I have decided on scrapping the Drc and going for coil overs instead gives me peace of mind that they are done with no more issues

I did try to tell you to go to unit 20 and Audi are useless with DRC. I dont think you are any wiser now than before you went. It might still only need a recharge. Take it to unit 20, they will tell you very quickly what is wrong and whether you are better off getting coilovers or not.

I did ring Grizz but he couldn't get me in til mid October so I thought I'd give Audi a go only because it went for a recharge and there was only a difference of £20 in cost between what unit20 quoted and Stockport Audi quoted didn't think they would drop this on me but hey we live and learn !!!
