How much?
How much?
Hi all
I know you probably get asked this question like a lot, but there's no better forum than this to receive some honest opinions/feedback. I'm looking to sell my B7 RS4 avant and want your thoughts on where you think its placed in the market - I don't want to under (or over) price it.
Details as follows:
2006(56) avant
Sprint blue
79k miles
Full Audi service history(fixed inspection) next service due in 5600 miles or 514 days
Service schedule as follows:
20/09/2007 – 9825 miles
12/09/2008 – 19980 miles
28/10/2009 – 28911 miles
19/11/2010 – 31761 miles
14/03/2012 – 42514 miles
16/01/2013 – 52921 miles
04/02/2014 – 63745 miles
04/02/2015 – 74145 miles
Black leather bucket seats. Fantastic condition with no rips or tears.
Privacy glass
FBSW
DRL's and coming home function
Audi navigation plus (RNS-E) 6 CD changer in glove box
Bose in car entertainment
Dual zone climate control
Heated front seats
Acoustic parking aid – front and rear
Fully functioning sport mode (bolster inflation and exhaust valves operate as they should)
Bi-xenon lights with headlamp wash
Adaptive lights
Brake discs replaced 06/09/12
Front pads replaced 12/08/15
DRC replaced under warranty
Coil packs replaced under warranty
Oil cooler pipes replaced under warranty
MOT due 03/02/2016
The car has been well cared for and cherished in the 4+ years I've owned it. It has been maintained, regardless of cost, through Audi(not that this is always a good thing but I suppose it helps with re-sale)
I've attached some photos to hopefully give you an idea of its condition. Any and all comments welcome
Additionally, if anybody is on the look out for a great example of this future classic, in the best colour(obviously) then please drop me a note.
Thanks

Re: How much?
Looks like a lovely well cared for example. The full Audi history is probably more valuable to the general masses on Pistonheads than those on this forum who probably value the likes of MRC and Unit 20. It's a very desirable colour and spec, with decent mileage so I'd put it around the £20-21k mark as a starter. Just my opinion of course.
Re: How much?
Buckets? Check
FBSW? Check
DRC sorted? Check
You are ticking a lot of the boxes but summer isn't a great time to sell imho. Taking auto raider as my source and based on my years of experience and dashing good looks if I was selling today id put it up for 18995 and take no less than 17.5
If you can, might be worth holding on for a few months till the munters disappear so you can try 20/19
GLWS, looks like a fine example

Re: How much?
Thanks for the input so far. I think I'd be reluctant to head below 20k simply because this is a reluctant sale anyway.

Re: How much?
Oh dear Qman, that doesnt sound good mate.
At the end of the day, its metal, if you need to sell now, get it done and remove the stress. You can always buy again at a later date.
No hunk of metal is worth losing sleep over

Re: How much?
Or put it up here and its free

Re: How much?
Some sound advice S4WON, I may do just that. 22 might be worth a punt
Re: How much?
This is what I bought in March this year for £20k - viewtopic.php?f=35&t=114252
It had fewer miles than yours and had the MRC treatment. I'd love to think I got a bargain, otherwise you'd do well to get £20k for yours. Mine was in Glasgow so your location might help with the price, depending on where you are.
If you're not in a rush to sell, advertise it for the price you want. You can always reduce it, but you can never increase it.
Cheers,
Bryan

Re: How much?
Something similar from independent dealer
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... hp/3965894
I'd agree with above post, it's worth £20k but I'd advertise above that to give some haggling space. And Sprint Blue is the best colour of course.

Re: How much?
Exactly, that's a dealer! You can't expect dealer money for a private sale.
Re: How much?
Also, I'm in a market for an F TYPE, there is a nice private car for sale at dealer money ie too expensive... I can't be arsed to go an offend someone offering them less money and trying to haggle thousands of pounds because they've overpriced it
