caliper refurb and repaint

Post by seaney76 » Fri Jun 26, 2015 1:49 am

finally finished my caliber refurb and repaint, i didn't want to go with the common red so opted for yellow they look pretty cool against the gloss black wheels. after the initial stripping of the callipers it was plain sailing and the paint used is real heavy duty enamel paint,

transfers applied then the callipers lacquered

Have you got any shots from further away so we can see the whole car? I think the yellow works really well with the gloss black wheels.

Looking good - did you leave the rears?
I'm going down that route at the moment and leaning towards red (although this might have changed my mind)

heres a couple from the side couldn't do the fronts without the rears, there is a really nice royal blue that works well too, a customer had his M5 callipers done blue after i steered him away from red!!!

Why is it that all the silver ones are looking really good recently?

Did you do them yourself? Your first post makes it sound like you did them yourself but then you mention a customer in your last post so do you own a calioer refurb business? I ask cos I could probably do with a refurb soon. The only thing really stopping me is the time the car will be off the road (again).

i have a chipsaway franchise, myself and my friend steve from select one automptive done the work, it takes roughly three days, a customer i did a repair for saw mine and had his done too. its a pain not having it on the road but the finish is worth it. get in touch if need be.
