IIRC shiny trim & roof bars is standard on A4 & S4 , but matt is standard on RS4.MB2 wrote:I saw a (non-RS) Avant yesterday and that had shiny trim and roof bars so possibly there are two versions of the silver trim.

Mine were pretty badly stained and milky blotches in appearance when I got the car (April), after trying numerous different compounds, I had best success with Scholl Concepts S3 Gold, worked really well and minimal effort. I have sealed them with Werkstat Acrylic and so far they are holding up well after a number of washes since application.

Cheers for the info Jeff

Still struggling to get mine to come up any better and have actually just ordered some silver vinyl to have a go at covering them with that. If that fails miserably (which I fear it will) I will have a blast with your suggestion
