Hello,

Just a quick answer to tell you I found a way to manage valves with a wireless command.
A system is plugged at the back of the car and gives the possibility to fully open them.
Then we keep 3 modes.

- Audi Normal Mode
- Audi Sport Mode
- Custom 100% opened valves.

My car is at the moment under stage 1 modifications but I will post pictures and link about the system ASAP.

Hello,

Sorry for the long time it took me to post more details.
Initially developed for Porsche cars, the By-Pass is a small box you can plug to OEM exhaust valves management system which is in the boot.
It uses the OEM socket so no problems.

Once the box is fitted, you have a wireless remote control who allow to full open the valves whenever you are in normal mode or sport mode (they do not close anymore between 2500 and 4500 rpm in sport mode).

You will see some pictures here. I will post some of the remote control later in the week-end.

By the way I'm selling mine because I asked MRC to allow a full opened valves in sport mode, and this is fine to me.
For a brand new one product I can send you the contact in a PM.

It's your build thread (and the link to this thread) that got me looking here!

I think I can do something simple with a small solenoid (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC12V-Miniatu ... 463e054a00) and some simple wiring tbh.

No need for a solenoid Ross. Just a switch to connect or remove the switched earth from the exhaust flap vacuum solenoid. I think a resistor is needed to stop the ecu detecting a fault. Other than that the switch can either just connect the earth or not but also if you have a 3 way switch you could switch between always open, always closed or work as OEM.

I was thinking the solenoid might be easier rather than having to cut wires / solder in a resistor etc could just leave the system fully oem and add the solenoid (one way checked etc) into the pipe work for the flap. That was my thinking anyway. Didn't put much more thought into it than that to be honest - need to lift the boot and see how it's done currently.

It's kind of a moot point as car is in this weekend with JCWF lol
