finally got the 20s on....

Post by m3dne » Sun Feb 23, 2014 2:57 pm

managed to get the new wheels fitted yesterday, 9x20 with 255 30 gy eagle f1s, .... after all the messing and spacer issues with the 10x20s just ended up going for the rotors, not touched the suspension yet but drives surprisinly well on standard set up. :beerchug:

I've got H&R's on mine only problem is the fronts, the car sits too level.

The rear is perfect, with the tyre walls sitting about a quarter under the arches but there is still a gap up front.

It's far from reverse rake but I'm going to get the front springs modified by a company that make race suspension and springs in Sheffield, they just need about 10mm for it to sit perfect.

So if your a bit anal about your stance I don't think you'll be 100% with springs alone without modifying them.

maybe try the b5 spring perch mod drops the front by about 3/4 inch?, less hassle than getting the springs modified.

Thanks Sar for the heads up on this. Been doing some Audizine searching and looks like I'll be off down to Audi in the week!

Lower B5 front spring perches/plates - I assume the fools in parts will know what I'm talking about?!

Or you could go for the kw adjustable spring kit. This means you keep the DRC but can still set the ride height as you like it.

Obviously, i'm a fan of rotors too.
