It was in for some paintwork under warranty so seemed daft not to get the oil changed at the same time (I change it every 5k). Plus it's good to the invoice from Audi, as you say, to keep in the history file

£93 is a good price! Expensive still but as Jay says it's worth it for the audi stamp.

I've just been quoted £1,290 for a full service on my c6 rs6 from Audi! Is it that much difference with the rs4?

Bloody hell! Is that for timing belt or anything like that too? (I know the Rs4 has a timing chain and assumed the RS6 does too). I can't imagine that is for just a straightforward service as it should be roughly the same as the RS4 I'd have thought.

I was £362 for oil, oil filter and pollen filter at Perth Audi. That was Audi supplying the oil too. It also included pick up and courtesy car. I'm happy with that compared with main dealer prices for other makes.

I Serviced mine myself and have serviced all my cars myself every year and the RS4 was one of the easiest to do and all done in just over an hour and that was me taking my time due to it being my first time. This was easier than doing a 1.8t B6 S-line minding you I did not do the sparkplugs this time round.

Parts from Euro Car Parts:

Air filter: £3.72 - £15.30
Oil Filter: £9.24 - £18.90
Pollen: £6.24 - £7.92
Edge Oil £34.99 x3
Mobil 1 £40.74 x2

So taking the cheap end you could service your car for £100.68 and say 1.5hrs of your time and if you want to do the sparkplug add £88.48 for a set of them and about another hour of time at worst and on a budget.

You all want the Audi stamp but I here so many bad thing about dealers and experienced myself (apart from a few) that in most cases the stamp means crap.

Thats all good and you make it sound so easy but to someone who isnt technically gifted its not as straight forward....
Also........lets just say your timing belt/chain snaps and wrecks your engine...audi will look at service history and if they see you done it yourself they will wash your hands with it, but if its a full stamped audi history more than likely they will replace free of charge or maybe you might have to pay labour......thats the difference from a audi stamp to doing it yourself.....and on these cars nothing is cheap...i know which road i will be taking every time...

I agree, and i also wouldn't buy a car with no stamps in the book from either a main dealer or specialist.
