Looking for an increase in BHP on RS4 B7

Post by WilkinsonRS4 » Sun Dec 07, 2014 2:23 am

What do you recommend to increase BHP WITHOUT SHELLING OUT TOO MUCH - already remapped modded exhaust and KnN filtered it so... What next without going too daft to increase my BHP???
Modified standard exhaust Modified deflapped inlet manifold ported and polished
Head and valve decoke Performance K&N panel filter. Remapped. Lowered slightly (20mm) on KW performance springs Widened on 10mm spacers.

Get it carbon cleaned for best BHP gains.

Worth gutting the pre-cats and mapping out the resulting error codes if it has not already been done.

Carbon clean is always good for gains but does not last very long as the carbon builds backup pretty quickly depending on how the car is used.

What kind of K&N filter? Panel or cone? If it's the latter, take it out and voila!

Vacuum leaks cause a bigger power loss than carbon build-up, so worth checking for vacuum leaks as well.

Did your p & p manifold have the JHM spacers fitted and the heater bypass kit fitted?

Who did the porting and polishing?

I stole the stickers from your wife's sextoy when she was round.....

Car does not feel any quicker but there is a pleasant vibration through the seat at 7000rpm?

I can sell you them back (to keep them in the family) as you and that slower saloon of yours need all the help you can get! ;-)

Did you get round to mapping it and having a carbon clean done?
