Are they the one in Westerhope? It would be good to know someone else can do the DRC other then the local dealers.Piers1989 wrote:Just spoken to Swift Motor Engineering to confirm that they do have the equipment to recharge DRC.

Re: Knocking suspension / DRC?
I've just had my complete DRC + pipes replaced at Perth Audi. Got a great service from them and can't recommend them highly enough, the guys in there really seem to know their RS4's and were very enthusiastic about having my car in.
I also got a generous goodwill contribution from them but it was still an expensive job overall. The shocks weren't too bad cost wise it was the labour hours to fit the pipework that really bumped things up. The car now feels transformed and is a joy to drive again.

Re: Knocking suspension / DRC?
My car came from Perth Audi from new and everytime I have been there I have had great service.
The RS tech there knew my car really well from its previous owner..... not sure if that is a good or bad thing!
I take it the RS is staying for a bit longer then, GT3 RS on hold?
Need to sort out a meet in the New Year, been too long.

Re: Knocking suspension / DRC?
Thanks for the recommendation at Perth Audi.
If I have any issues I'll try and book in there as Silverlink Audi giving me a 1 month wait to see my car doesn't inspire me with confidence.
Also there's the matter that they insisted they wont deal with my warranty company at all, I don't know if Perth would say the same (I guess they probably will) but if they wont then that kind of rules main dealers out if they wont help. Most of the work should be covered and I'd rather not foot the full bill!
Yeah it is in Westerhope, I'll leave feedback as time goes on to let you know how they do. Hopefully they wont make a mess of things!

Re: Knocking suspension / DRC?
Have you tried Newcastle Audi, which has moved to a much larger premises on Scotswood Road. Benfield Motors owns the three local dealership, which includes Teesside Audi.
I've had only used Newcastle Audi for my RS4 since new and I haven't spent a single penny towards any DRC work during this time. Having had all shocks, a centrol control valve and a pipe replaced over the years, I can see my luck with the goodwill runs out next time.
The service manager Mark Robinson at Newcastle Audi have been great with me and I would thoroughly recommend him.

Re: Knocking suspension / DRC?
I'll try them if there are any problems with Swift as I'm all booked in now and going away tonight until the RS4 is due to go to them.
Does anyone know if its general Audi policy to not co-operate with third party warranty companies or if its just the one at Silverlink (also part of Benfield Motors) being awkward?

Re: Knocking suspension / DRC?
I had the knocks too... but it was my suspension bushings.... so replaced all with 034 Motorsports adjustable arms/bushings..... Very very happy
Re: Knocking suspension / DRC?
Just an update - Went into the garage yesterday morning.
Needs both nearside shocks and 2 flexi pipes.
The warranty company has agreed to cover both shocks, and the recharge of the DRC system at something like £870 inc VAT.
They don't cover the flexi pipes so I'm having to pay for them at around £110 each ex VAT.
Overall not a bad result!
They are hoping to have the car ready tomorrow as the parts are already on order, worst case I should have it back by Friday, which is great since my best mate just bought a 13 plate BMW M6 and wants a weekend playdate

Re: Knocking suspension / DRC?
Got my car back today and it definatley seems much better now
The guys at Swift were very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about the car. We discussed their interaction with the warranty company amongst the DRC system and recharge process and they mentioned the coking on the heads too being something as a new RS4 owner I should be aware of.
Heres the bill, I'm paying everything highlighted but the rest of it is covered by the warranty.
