Brake suggestions?

Post by dj.hanks » Sat Sep 27, 2014 10:49 am

Got a few options in the near future when I come to change my brake pads and discs.

1) Standard discs and pads
2) Tarox discs and pads (near enough the same price as the genuine Audi setup).
3) Ceramic brake conversion (been offered a kit for £2,500 brand new).

Its a daily car that will see a few tracks as well.
Is there much between the Audi and Tarox discs and pads in performance wise?
For the £2,500 are the benefits worth paying that price for them?

Ceramics are the way to go I'd go that way but at £4k plus there's no way but £2500 now that would be tempting
Otherwise the loba/ap disc from unit20 is a shout

If you can get the ceramics for £2500, then it's a no brainer. Stops a lot better with no fade, last for 150,000+ miles and your front alloys will look clean after a 200 miles drive.

A complete ceramic setup is about £6000.
