Newbie with a B7 RS4 just saying hi

Post by willywonker RS4 » Tue Aug 05, 2014 10:21 am

First off my names Paul from Milton Keynes and I've recently brought a B7 RS4 in sprint blue (About a month ago) form a local performance garage which had 7 to choose from, I got lucky with this one as there was someone coming down from Blackburn to JUST see it and I got there first and snapped his hand off, this one stood out for me cause of the low mileage and colour and Spec, on a plus side too the other half loves the colour as well :bigblink:.

The other 6 looked nice but didnt jump out at me, they was either black, grey or blue or didn't come with low mileage or the Spec I wanted, its pretty standard (apart from the grill) at the mo just the few extras and usual bits on her, I sold my RS Ford Transit Connect (326 BHP Dynoed) and Scooby WR1 (380 BHP Dynoed) at the start of the year to pave way for the Audi, haven't regretted it and love the growl of the V8 when open it up (normally when a diesel BMW rep mobile comes roaring up your bumper), any advice given would help me to know which direction to go in and what to do first.

Anyway enough of me bleating on and heres some pics of her :D :D

Thats what i thought but ive a few ponts i need help with.

*How easy is it to get the front ring badge off, I've heard its only done by bumper off or the little clips break.

*How would the door surrounds be done?

*Would you do the RS ones as well

*Mirrors, chrome or body colour?

I know how to do the back badge as that's easy

Is that from aylesbury street motors in Fenny Stratford. If so I looked at a blue one but they were desperate for me to buy a black one with more mileage. I walked away due to the dodgy price compared to their advert on autotrader and the feel of the place. A friend had a car from them and the gearbox was buggered and also bad reviews online, I didn't want to waste £20k on a wrong un.

Yea, I popped in on the off chance of spotting a sprint blue one but no luck, they did try to sell me a black one with 82k on the clock, £18500 I think, I wasn't interested so then went and looked at a blue S5 that they just took delivery of 3 days before so I went and looked at that and explained exactly what I was looking for with the spec, I was very tempted by the S5 but wasn't what I was really looking for so went away to think about it and 2 days later they ran me about this one they had to took in and valeted.

I did read the reviews and I didn't find them pushy so gave them the benefit of doubt, popped down and there she was, I took it for a test drive and checked all the service history and past owners, full AUDI service all added up, they are AA approved but I still had a independent AA check done on her and made them give me 6 months tax and full tank of fuel and knock a little of the price and got a warranty with it.

I think it's under new management now plus most of the ones they have now most are done and modified by MRC and when I was in there there's was only 4 people working and the main boss was older gentleman who was very helpful and was the one who took me and the misses out in it, and face me all the little extras

Cool, hope to see you around as well, will have to keep a eye out for you, you often see me going back and forth to work (they love the car at work) or just giving it a blast to blow the cobwebs off lol.

Is yours the silver one in your profile pic?
