Further problems with my RS4 Avant!

Thanks guys, relay issues makes sense so will try these. Does anybody know where these relays are located, a part code and where to get them from?

I think they were two light greyish relays located next to each other in the plenum chamber. It is a mission to get to them. Wipers arms off, plenum cover off, ECU cover (airbox side of the car) off, ECU unscrewed (a bit scared of this one) and lifted up to reveal the relay carrier underneath. It took some force to get the relay out. They cracked the relay casing in the process so be careful in case it is not the relay.

I got mine supplied and fitted by Audi. I can try and get the OEM part no's from the guru at our local dealer in the morning. If you ask your local dealer I am sure they will be able to assist.

I have some details from ETKA and ELSAWin attached. The Part No is 8E0 951 253 for item 2 and (2) in the ETKA pdf. The remark points to position 2 and 3 on page 3 in the ECU Relays pdf. Hope this helps.

Your problem sounds like the ECM relay to me. Replace both at the same time and check if this resolves the issue. Not an overly expensive part compared to a throttle body.
