Random after market switch and LED

Evening,

I have just purchasedy B7 and I noticed that down by the bonnet release handle there was a little after market switch. Similar to what all the import boys use to control their fog lights.

When the switch is active there is a green LED in the drivers side air vent which illuminates. When the ignition is on the switch makes a horrible beep and the LED is red.

The car has had the usual carbon clean and stage 2 MRC remap
But just wondered if anyone had any idea what this switch could be? I was thinking it might be alarm related, or switchable maps or something?

Laser Jammer? Check for little black squares by the number plate...

Has it got factory parking sensors? Mine had factory rears and aftermarket fronts with a switch under the dash. No light in the air vent though.
Current car: 2007 BMW 530d touring.
Previous car: 2005 S4 B7.

It appears to alternate between green and red + beeping when flicking the switch with just the ignition on and engine off.

Engine running it beeps no matter what!

Standard parking sensors I think...

Any other ideas?

Remove trim and see where the wires go?

Sounds like a radar jammer found one on my car and like yours it makes a nice.

A must in my opinion.
