Mike, you you know/have a guess at how close those rotors are catching the arches when compared to the OE19's with the 8/10mm H&R spacers? I am absolutely keeping the DRC on this one, but have been fighting the urge to lower her by a cm or so.

Timing of those springs for sale sucks, I am not supposed to be spending any money currently....

Just had H&R springs fitted to my saloon a tad lower and seems no stiffer than standard.

How does it sit on the h&r's mate? Would love to see a pic. Not really into the slammed look myself, but thought just a touch lower than standard with spacers would look great. Cheers

Re comfort, my understanding is that even if you retain standard shocks, the reduced suspension travel you have after fitting lowering springs makes the car likely to run on the bumpstops more often. Effectively, there isn't enough shock travel left for the car to still be compliant over the bumps.
But if you reckon yours hasn't suffered frm being that low, then maybe the RS4 can cope better than most with that problem. Win!
The only time I've hit the bumpstops is when i go over those ridicuous speed humps. I think it probably did that before though and probably almost every car I've owned does the same.

I have less clearance than OEM wheels with 8/10mm spacers. I previously had those exact size spacers and wheels when I changed to rotors. No rubbing before. When I changed to rotors i kept the same spacers but it rubbed too much. So I took the 10mm off the rear and tried the 8mm at the back instead. Still rubbed so took all spacers off and got minimal rubbing (compared to no rubbing previously). This was with standard suspension and later found out I had broken DRC. Lowered it and fixed the DRC and even though it was lower, it rubbed less.

So with standard wheels and spacers you cna go quite low.

Generally the lower she goes the stiffer I get :bigblink:

I changed mine from standard sports suspension to kW adjustable springs few months back and the ride is somewhat improved and definetly no harder in any way.

Pics of ride height.

Mine will be going on autotrader/pistonheads in a couple of weeks and I may on sale put car back to standard so springs may be available. Pm me if interested.

How about with KW Varient 3 coilovers does anyone have bump/rebound settings that are comfortable for every day driving?

I have lowered mine with about a finger gap between the tyres and guards and have the settings on standard however they are quite firm
