RS sticker in engine bay
RS sticker in engine bay
Evening all. I'm sure I'm not the only B7 RS4 owner to be suffering from the dreaded peeling RS Sticker that sits atop one of the plastic covers in the engine bay. Anyone had any success in finding a way to keep it stuck down? Do I need a new one, can it be stuck down, if so what did you use? I've tried a few glues from around the house but to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated.
Current : Sprint Blue B7 RS4 avant.

As the part gets hot, most regular sticker glues will go off - dare I say something like superglue or epoxy based ? Just something that's heat resistant.maizyboy wrote:Evening all. Re: RS sticker in engine bay
i went to a sign place and asked nicely if i could have a scrap of red vinyl and cut out a new one.
b7rs4 phantom black, titan pack.
Re: RS sticker in engine bay
I had this and used the slightest bit of modellers Cyanoacrylate 'grip glue'. It's very thin but very high 'stick'. Araldite etc is too think and I'm not sure would leave the cleanest of edges...
The vinyl sar mentions is a good idea - the vinyl adhesive may cure and dry after a while be easy to keep doing it with some spare red...

superglue and apply it with a pin

Red model enamel all the way. I did the same with vinyl too, the enamel shines better

Used double sided tape (the type you get from office supply shops). Worked fine; I didn't remove the Sticker, just popped a small piece of the tape under the exposed corner.

I had the same problem. So I bought a rear OEM door bump strip RS4 badge. It is exactly the same size as the one on the engine cover and you can loose the No 4 if you want. But I stuck the whole badge on mine. It's been on for over a year with no peeling.
