or is that now an AMI thing ??
AMI and TV are not related in any way.

TV options? - some places have worked out how to swap the useless Audi analog TV tuner to the digital one.

If you don't already have an OE TV tuner then retrofitting one would be a bug job - you would need to replace some of the glass in the rear to get the TV antennas. So fitting a third party TV tuner is the best option, just make sure you get one that can be controlled from the RNS-E - Kufatec do a package of a TV tuner and an interface.
Cheers,

I thought TV was standard on RS4's
Craig did quote me once years ago for it all but I had forgotten about him
May find out about doing it myself though to save a few quid, although Craig does owe me a favour, might do the AMI and RNS-e swapout and then find out about the tuner swap maybe via Craig so he can code some stuff for me as i dont have a vagina and hence dont wanna be arsed screwing around with something that might end up with god knows what errors !! :assflash:

Thanks for all the info Sync. I'm hoping to get back from Wales and head straight for the Kent meet - I can have a proper 'feel' of the girth then

Hazzy Dayz are certainly technically competent to do this kind of job - no doubt. However, I find them prohibitivley expensive. EG I wanted to swap the face plate on my 2010+ RNS-E as it had a scratch on it. They quoted me£80 + VAT to swap the plate over [that I supplied]. I got the part from some one Petrol Dave knows in Holland for €12 plus delivery and the swap was just a case of removing two screws. Took me about 5 mins to do. So I have been wary of them ever since - problem is it's a niche market. If craigyb has gone back to IT that's a real shame as he was capable of pretty much anything to do with electric accessories in Audi's and was very helpful.

Nope definitely wasn't standard; even sat nav was an option on the saloon and Avant, only standard on the cab.

looks very good but seeing that picture you REALLY need to replace your pedal covers - while you are on your modding / improving / upgrading crusade :)

just be prepared for a massive battle fitting the new ones. they come off easy enough but will the new ones go back on again...

Brushed is the alternative to Piano black and carbon OEM - I have it in my silver B7 - looks cool and understated and just gives a touch of brightness to the interior.

Did you not fancy keeping the old RNS-E bezel? It' just that the trim doesn't match the rest of the interior - just my own opinion of course!

I spotted that - Piano Black bezel, right? Took me a few weeks to find a standard matt black bezel version for mine...
