I had my window surrounds and bumper strip done for £55. Took them 4 hours as well. I think they'll be putting the price up next time. I had the afternoon of work and gave the plasti dip ago on the mirrors. It was going very well until the nozzle cocked up on the final coat and spluttered all over it so I emended up taking it off both for the time being. Here's some photos of how the good mirror turned out and a photo with them both black.

+1 on the wrapping - I believe Louie 'firestarter' had his done and they came up a treat.

light spray is a nightmare to remove later. Do a half dozen light coats and you Will be in good shape.

I'm going to get a quote today from a local company to wrap the trim on my car. I've got the material already but would prefer a professional to do it

Wank....Im torn again on the best option for this. (Lets put the alloys discussion aside for a min.)

So if I get the pros to the the plasti-dip would it not be a safer option than the wrap when it comes time to take it off?

I got quoted €200 for the wrap and €150 for the plasti-dip, its not a price issue, it really for the re-sale and if the wrap needs to come off.

Also to wrap the wing mirrors, do they need to take them off the car?

I took it off virtually straight away because the nozzle on the can decided to fu*k up on the final coat on one mirror and the finish was uneven. I'm just trying to sort it out with the person I bought it off at the moment. One of the reasons I went for plasti dip was because it takes only seconds to return it to its original state. But I did manage to do my side badges and gave it a snow foam and power wash and it was fine.

Got quoted £200 to paint all the trims to satin black. Spoke to a wrap company also and they said better off plasti dipping the window surrounds than wrapping them as it's a pain to do! I've bought 4 cans of spray for £32 so gonna give it a go

definitely wrap if it's that close price wise

Wrap looks best.

Where did you get 4 cans from mate for £32. Cost me £18 for one and they're being dick heads about the nozzle failing. Cheers
