Multi Function Steering Wheel Problems

Post by DDalgarn » Mon Jan 27, 2014 1:19 pm

I've got a 2004 RS4 avant and it came with the standard non- flat bottom multi function sterring wheel, however I've just fitted a newer flat bottom multi function steering wheel but I now the horn doesn't work and none of the other functions on the wheel. Any suggestion what I need to do to sort the problem?

Thanks
Dave

You may need VCDS to get it working.

What year is your car?

I did this retrofit on my 2007 car, round MFSW to TTRS FBMFSW. I had an issue with the wiring loom, the new airbag (different part #) had two ground wire terminals as opposed to the old one (round wheel) having one wire terminal. I ordered a new wiring loom from HazzyDayz and it solved the problem. Does this sound similar to your problem?
Now: 2007 Daytona RS4 Avant
Passed On: 2003 Mugello RS6 Sedan
