Clean your old leather with CIF cream and dilute Fairy Liquid in bucket, let it dry, then wax with quality leather feed. Bingo the leather interior looks and smells like new.

Wow, that looks great
Do you think they have replaced it with stronger leather than the original?
Just wondering if it will wear off as quick?

Cheers.

Mark only uses top quality leathers with the reputation he carries and at the the attention to detail on the retrims in the showroom on his current vehicles is second to none. So I felt I would offend him if I questioned the quality of the leather. However time will tell. I will have to practise getting in and out a couple of hundred times a day to see how it gets on :bigblink:

As long as you lift yourself over the bolsters when you get in, the seats should look good for years, just sold mine with 62k on the clock, and the bolsters had little wear TBH

Don't mean to offend Mark :)
Just wondering did he mention anything about the quality of the original leather and does he feel his is superior and will last longer

@silas I read your post 109k kms too late... Drivers seat is worn to the last :(

He didn't mention quality of the existing leather but wear to the bolsters is more to do with how carefully one removes his body in and out of the seat. Along with the nature and shape of the buckets also. Most guys seats are likely to be in good order (apart from rips and tears due to neglect) and only suffering from the outer bolster areas wearing. I would say once repaired with like for like leather and some care taken as Silas mentioned, there is no reason why they should last another 80 to 100k.

There are plenty of decent guys in the same trade all over, however if you are thinking if getting something similar done then don't hesitate to contact Mark on the link on OP. He is more than happy to answer any questions and I am a OCD fussy bugger and can assure you would be happy with the results

Failing that you could always purchase my spare replacement bucket seat leather in the classified parts section :bigblink:

yes, that's the side driver's seat bolster I was on about, the rest of the seats and cabin is mint,
I will eventually go the route of having it retrimmed ;)
