You not on the s8 forum then?????

My motor only does around 5k a year, and probably only 900 miles of that is hard driving.
Looking for a set of winters myself, only want part worns really cause they will only be needed for around 800 miles.
nope, here and Audi Sport... although I'm pretty sure I'm the only S8 owner who goes on there... glad I don't mind talking to myself... lol

ah right, I don't do much mileage either.... although I've had 7k out of the advans so far, and they have got about 5mm left on them... mostly motorway driving this year unfortunately... :-(

It's best to run narrower tyres in winter is you can. I have been running Kumho IZen 245/40/18 tyres on some 18 inch alloys. They work very well in the snow up here in Scotland. Also had them in the Alps a couple of times.

I’ve ran winter tyres on a Mercedes for the last two winters, I’m so impressed with it that I’ve got winters fitted to four cars this year including the RS4. I never had problem with the RS, but because it made a huge difference to the Merc, I thought I’ll try it on the RS as well.

I’ve got Continental Winter Sport TS830 on mine, not sure how it would perform in cold conditions yet as the weather hasn’t been too bad, but they did feel a bit strange at first. When they were new, they didn’t give the same confidence and surefootedness, but now that it’s been scrubbed in, they feel a lot better. Can’t wait for the snow!!

I'm running these:

Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 225/45R18 95 R XL

18" RS4 Winter Wheel - 7.5" wide, ET21, 8E0 601 025 AH

The Nokian Hakks are absolutely awesome in the snow, it is hard to get the car sideways now. I was on Hankook winter tyres for the past three winters and I can definitely feel the difference.

Hakkas are the best. Cant be beat. They make them in 19 now too

I just bought Michelin pilot alpin 3 or 4. Worked great in a foot of snow last week and again yesterday

Where I live we have long and real winters (apps.4-5months) and therefor its important to have good winter tyres.

I use Nokian Hakkapeliitta R dub free winter tires in 235/35-19" size on the original RS4 rims.

The grip is very good on snow, fair on ice and on wet tarmac quite ok with exception the gear changes at high revs (wheels spin).
