Off to AMD next week

Post by Paddyleigh » Mon Dec 09, 2013 3:38 pm

After reading various reports on here as to the success of a trip to AMD I've just booked my RS4 Avant for next week as an early Christmas present to myself.

De-coke the main job and no doubt they'll be a few recommendations come along. Looking forward to seeing the before and after results now she's hit 71k on the clock.

Sounded like a thoroughly decent outfit on the phone.

Will post up pics and report when she's sorted.

Mrc all the way worth every penny

Heard some bad reports from them guys

If your getting a re map it's worth spending that little extra and getting Mrc to do it
I think I vouch for most of the people on here on this one :bigblink:

I can't suggest what you get as I have not had much done to mine, but I am looking to do a carbon clean so would be interested in the results that you get. As for AMD, I have used them a few times and have always been happy so I wouldn't worry too much.

Let me know how you get on

I use them all the time,
And have laods done to my car there,

my car is actually currently there now just had front discs and pads, waiting for me to pick up.
I have found them very professional and had no problems what so ever with them.
and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Always found amd to be spot on...have used both amd and mrc,the difference between the two maps I have found is in non sport mode mrc s map is a lot less responsive on the throttle compared to Amds..you can really feel the difference between the sport and non sport mrc map...Amds map has the same throttle response as Mrcs in sport mode but in non sport mode the throttle response feels very much the same...IMO..

I think the reason why there is a significant difference in non sport and sport with mrc is they sort of detune (to get a linear response) the non sport and thus when u go sport, u feel a big difference. I guess amd, although they can do this, leave the non sport as it is as oem intended. Which way would u prefer??
