Rs4 bucket seats
Rs4 bucket seats
With thefts of rs4 bucket seats in the back of my mind ..
Has anyone thought of replacing standard seat bolts with locking ones for a detergent and if so does anyone have any links to purchasing or can I just use locking wheel nuts
Advice appreciated

There was at least 2 threads on this subject a couple of months ago, but IIRC the promised group buys of suitable bolts (they have to be high tensile) either never happened or was only made known to a few people.hughes457 wrote:Has anyone thought of replacing standard seat bolts with locking ones
Even though I don't have buckets I still would like to fit locking bolts...

Why Dave, just in case a lardy couch potato breaks into your car for his urgent Lazy-boy fix ?PetrolDave wrote:There was at least 2 threads on this subject a couple of months ago, but IIRC the promised group buys of suitable bolts (they have to be high tensile) either never happened or was only made known to a few people.hughes457 wrote:Has anyone thought of replacing standard seat bolts with locking ones

I've spent the last 7+ years trying to get anorexics to understand that it's not just lardy arses that prefer the bucketsTimster wrote:http://www.la-z-boy.co.uk/product/89/Ha ... iner-chair

Obviously, with recent events, I'm working out if this can be sorted out...if I can source anything sensible, I'll let you know, with due precautions(!)

Re: Rs4 bucket seats
I looked into locking bolts but they needed to be made in large numbers. Asked Audi to look into it and they were utterly useless. Ultimately had a spot weld put on the bolts and then filled with resin, will need to use angle cutter in ad work Shop to get bolts off. Also fitted the viper alarm which is great but of kit.
