Post by victor2vt » Sun Nov 10, 2013 12:03 am

Any NE England owners been invited to this Audi event ?

R8 V10 (plus) drive, fully booked, but I got in early so i'm taking a spare pair of underpants
Other cars available on the day;
RS4
RS5
RS6
TT RS
Etc. Etc.
Also many S versions, all cars come in Saloon, Avant and Convertible models and, this is the best bit, we are allowed unaccompanied drives, then it's lunch and do it all again :beerchug:
Mint Optic Pack saloon in Daytona Grey (Now sold)
B7 RS4 in Sprint Blue (Gone to a very good new home)
Evo V1 (wish i'd kept)
Numerous M3s

i tried to get a drive at the one in glasgow , the minute the Personal invite dropped through the letterbox i thought cool !! i,m up for that so l i called the number , sorry ALL the test drives are already booked was the reply but you are welcome t come to the event and watch the cars .WTF ... yeah i,ll drive 200 miles to watch someone drive past in an R8 /RS5/4 , Eh No thanks luv ,totally in the lap of royal mail i guess with the mail shots . maybe they should have done a block email to all the people who were on the list as they have our emails as we are Audi Customers , then it would have been fairer , tho i have a sneaky suspicion anyone who was looking for another RS model or a new car will get a heads up from a salesperson well before hand , the mail should have a code inside which you quote on the call ,Rant over :audibash:
Phantom black saloon ,PES M112 Supercharged 520ps/595nm K&N filter, 100 cell milltek cats, res valved milltek system. 8 and 10mm H&R spacers.H&R roll bars, "smoke chrome " alloy refurb. JHM Quickshifter, Bilstein B16 coilovers , uprated diff mount ,50/50 devils own WM kit so 1.4 litres/min in intake approx 10% more power and torque
1/4 mile 12.01 secs 123.5mph

Not so much as an email! To be fair though I don't have any intention of buying another Audi any time soon - there isn't anything I like enough to replace my RS4, unless they want to go halfers on the price of a fully kitted RS6.

They've got a good thing going with me and every other muppets who keep a full Audi service history. Why bother rewarding us with a wee spin in some exotica? :bash:

Got an invite, was going but have to work instead so handed back my RS6 test drive appointment. IIRC Glenn is going. The '3 is more than quick enough presently so no real need to replace.

Barstewards didn't invite me, I've bought 4 Audi's off Newcastle /Tyneside and have owned five more over the last 5 years, maybe they've took the huff because I bought a Porsche.

If you want to stay in love with your RS4, DO NOT drive an R8 V10

Never EVER driven anything as AWESOME in my entire life, you'd have to experience it, words can not explain it, honestly :kissmyrings: :kissmyrings:

Annoyingly so....I'd really hoped it wasn't. Fack, another divorce inducing discussion to have.

I've just had an invite land on the doorstep for one of these at Oulton Park, on the 26 Nov - don't give you much time, must be deliberate or i'm on the reserve list.

Oulton Park is only 30 min away for me so might go, albeit on a work day *cough Cough*

anyone else got one for here?

I've had 2, 1 from the Audi garage I bought from and the other from who I use for service, slight problem I can't go to either, gutted!

Plus 2 - drove this red one yesterday at Camberley Audi's showcase do - felt so at home in it.... and it felt just so right and looked so right in Misano with optics, body colour mirrors and the carbon (miles better than the matt Daytona and white ones). Haven't felt such a yearning for a car for ages...... miles better than the C6 in every department.

Well done audi. :beerchug:

(Have to say though only fly in the ointment was the head up display plastic gubbins on the dash looked cheap and was tizzing - which was annoying)
