How good/experienced are unit 20 with a custom remap?? Anybody used them for that? Or is their remapping somewhat off the shelf and not quite fully custom?
If one gets a carbon clean, how much would it cost extra to get just the flaps removed at that time too? (Or would that be classed as gettin a stage 1 manifold job) ??

Re the map difference in Sport to non sport button settings, this is something that I personally wouldn't like. I dislike intensely the sharper / short travel throttle you get when pressing the sports button, so to have a map that gives me more when pressing it wouldnt suit me at all. I'd want the same engine characteristic on both settings.
you say you dislike a sharper throttle response, did you have your old car mapped with this? It's really no big deal, you have a choice what to use when you want to use it, that's got to be a good thing, if your stuck in traffic just turn it off, once on the open road if you feel like a blast just switch sport on, it's perfect I only really use it in sport to be honest, it's a nice smooth power delivery, think you need to try one if you haven't already to make a decision

I mean the shorter travel on the accelerator in sport with the standard car. I like having the exhaust flaps open to hear the throaty roar but not the jumpy short travel on accelerator that comes with it. You switch the bolsters off which is fine but the accelerator is to sharp. I just like like a longer travel...

Or as you say maybe its better with a map is it?

Wow, if you think the standard car has a jumpy short travel in sport mode then you won't like the MRC sport mode! I thought the sport mode on a standard car was barely distinguishable from the the non sport mode other than the exhaust noise. The MRC map makes the car feel alive and pressing the accelerator gives it a turbo like feel (i.e instant surge), not snatchy but a smooth surge. Maybe your car is already mapped; I find it hard to believe anyone thinks the standard Sport mode is jumpy?

MRC has a 360' tuning program, one being custom maps just as you like, as I was really impressed with the map on my latest RS4 B7, e.g. a very sharp throttle response which I like. It is worth spending the money on a carbon clean and Milltek if you are planning to keep the car. :nogarors4:
RS4 B7, Mugello Blue, K&W V3 & HR ARBs, set up by Centre Gravity, Milltek Valved Non Res & cat bypass pipes, BMC air filter, braided hoses, DOT 5.1, Terraclean, MRC Full Carbon Clean, MRC remap 448PS 477NM, 20" S7 alloys with 4mm spacers & Hawke spigots 66.6 > 57.1, AP Racing front discs. Sold Sept 2019. Now rocking an F80 M3

The sport mode is stock throttle response for sport mode - it is just that we usually fix other issues and or carbon clean etc at same time so it feels super responsive with the remap

It is the non sport mode that we give you a linear throttle response and/or less power mode so it is less likey to kangaroo, easier to drive with more resolution at initial throttle movements.
