Manifold flap position error severity

Post by TonyHayers » Thu Jul 04, 2013 11:15 pm

Anyone know whether having manifold flap position sensor errors is just a "normal" DTC or will it result in anything more serious? e.g limp mode etc

I'm due to do carbon clean and fit new ported/deflapped manifold tomorrow and I'd like to ideally lock the shaft and get rid of actuators etc. I hope to get a stage 2 remap but it might not be for a while. If its just minor fault I'll do it, but if something that's going to give me probs I'll have to keep actuators and shaft.

Your EPC light will come on and you will be limited to 7000 rpm.

Ok cheers, think l'll have to refit it all minus the flaps. Especially since can't seem to get in touch with MRC to arrange remap, it's prob going to be like that for a while.
