I asked him about the shocks 'one was replaced a couple of months ago - he said 'I was shocked when I was told it was going to be £600' and the brakes 'yes the rear disks will need replacing in about 3 or 4 thousand miles - but these will only be £400' - I asked about other factory extras and he really didn't know any of them or if the car had them. Finally the price - I said I thought it was way overpriced and even quoted similar adverts from traders cheaper than his - he said well it has special features like a sunroof and a blind in the back to stop 'animals' and that it would be detailed at no expense for £300 before the sale!! Conclusion : Genuine advert, genuine guy who really has not a clue about RS4's. sports cars or the market in general - I just think he is really mis-informed/deluded! I reckon its worth £26k tops only because of the mileage [and that's a "Kev - Guestimate!"

So why did you feel the need to phone him....did you have any intention of viewing the car. How did you concluded the conversation.

So why did you feel the need to phone him: Simple curiosity and a need to understand how a car could have 5 owners with 21k on the clock plus an almost OCD streak of mine to know everything about every RS4 for sale out there.
Did you have any intention of viewing the car? Of course for the right price.
How did you concluded the conversation? Uhm - I ended the conversation politely and thanked him for his time.
Do these answers meet your requirements seeing as you feel the need to question my actions?

Just don't see the need to phone him you was not interested in the car, as you mentioned curiosity so you're just a tyre kicker.

Seeing as you do not know me - you are in no way qualified to describe me as a 'tyre kicker' - end of subject.

So why do black optics "age badly"? (and they're not 'Recaro' buckets either

Timewaster call it what you want. Hope you get similar calls if and when you sell yours. Take the piss out of the guy by all means and post on here but to phone him up is out of order. Well done.

It was a very good thing to call and question. There could be potential rs4 purchasers who would be looking at this forum but may not have the experience or knowledge to ask the right questions (possibly on this particular car)
Its an advert online for everyone to see, and quite a dramatic one at that so calls and questions should be expected.

Your not the guy selling the car are you?! You seem to be overly perturbed by Sync24's actions.

No, jumped ship years ago. My point to all this is when selling privately people want to sell their car and don't appreciate ramdam calls from people who just want to discuses with no intention of buying.
Subjects like this are often discussed on other car forums and for most selling it pisses them off. One reason why many just trade in their cars.

Very low mileage, but for £30k I'd be looking for a MUCH better advert than that, and some proper pictures, some people just don't have a clue.....
