I had the full black optic kit retro fitted by Audi. Parts came to £800 iirc.

You can then sell the front grill and window trim (if removed carefully) to claw money back.

Oem only way to go...

As above wrap can damage the ali trim... If your trim is water damaged/marked then this may be a good solution.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

Its more marked up and quite difficult to get it looking like new.

I prefere the blacked out look, so this is the main reason for a wrap.

I used plastidip on my plate filler on my B7 S4, and it had the texture you're referring to. Was kind of a rough surface.

Then I read a DIY that said

a) keep the cans warm before and during use (place in a basin of hot water for 15 mins before and between coats)
b) spray from 4-5 inches, rather than from farther away

Having done that, I have no texture. Just did this with my grille surround, on the aluminium.

It should be noted that I also peeled the old plastidip from my filler plate and it came off reasonably easy (after 4 years) with no damage to the plastic underneath. Just pealed off in about 15 minutes. If you do more coats it comes off even easier.
