RS4 Downpipes

Post by gareth_oau » Mon May 27, 2013 5:51 am

I've got the milltek non-res catback, and I'm about ready to instal some downpipes, but struggling to decide which ones.

I'd like to go Milltek decats, but cant find anything suggesting how loud they are.

Does anyone have any comparitive clips or data to suggest what they sound like and how loud they are? (especially with the Millek non-res catbacks

here is mine as it sounds at the moment

Sure you want to go catless?
Don't forget to consider the smell of rotten eggs each time you drive

Catless and non res are plain rude!!! I have a valved system and even in non sport it was LOUD.I run with res middle boxes in the system now,it was fun for a while bit too much when my builders told me they heard me coming from literally miles away!

lengster, I'm not worried about the noise - thats my plan - we have a lot a big yank V8s here in Oz that need to be put in their place!!

Bill, I've not heard the egg comment about catless, is that a common thing, or more to do with the tune?

It's much less of a problem than it used to be because the sulphur content of petrol is much lower than it used to be (when burnt some of the sulphur becomes hydrogen sulphide - "bad egg gas").
