The car is only round the corner from me if you want I'll drive it and have a look over it for you if that helps?? That's if it's still for sale, as you know I've had my car a long time so I'll tell you if it's any good

This car has only been serviced twice? In nearly 6 years that is not a lot of servicing. I know it's on longlife but that would worry me a bit. Even on longlife my car is serviced once a year. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it but I'd have expected a tearly oil change at least (which is simple to do even for a novice so need only cost £120ish for oil and an hour of your time once every other year during services).
I wouldnt even consider one of these without buckets. It's the buckets that makes the interior special and seperates it from the rest of the A4/S4s. Confort doesnt even come into it, they could have a stone base and I'd still want them.

Fashion at the time the B7 was new.

Most B8s don't have buckets...because the fashion has changed.

Going back to the pics - just clarifying TimDogg comments, it does have Auto Lights etc, cos it has the two push in rotating switches to the left of the main Light switch......
You are right Jonnydog, thanks for the correction. I didn't spend too long looking at the pics because it was an avant and I fell asleep..... :bigblink:

That's fine and so you should, the man who started this thread used to live down my road and needs as much information as possible on the car, there's a lot to take in before buying one, just trying to give him the correct information not a tit for tat on seats

I am new to this forum as i have decided to move across from Porsche to Audi. I am actively looking for an Avant and stumbled across one for sale at a dealer near me. Link below. I am hoping to see this in the next day or two so your thoughts/comments would be most appreciated.

I just bought my RS4 and am a newbie on here, but I don't like the look of this one and would not have bought it if I was still looking. I looked at a LOT before I bought mine. I just paid £26k for a 50k mile 57 plate minter from Audi with the Audi warranty, four brand new tyres and freshly serviced.

1. It's not cheap (see above) really
2. It has no Audi warranty (deal breaker for me given the cost of problems)
3. First service at 23k miles????!?!
4. No buckets

It looks tidy enough, but to be honest I'd want it a LOT cheaper to provide danger money for buying outside the Audi network. The dealer is also being a bit "economical with the truth" - he's selling a 911 which he claims comes with 12 months Porsche warranty - this is not true - I've had 911s and the warranty is NOT capable of being transferred except on a PRIVATE sale.
