Where should part 8E0-907-577 go?!

Post by jwkerley » Mon Mar 11, 2013 9:50 am

Hi,

I finally bought a Mugello avant last weekend.

Very pleased with it, but when looking under the battery cover (don't ask!) I found what looks like some sort of plastic cover just sitting there.

It has a part number of 8E0 907 577 on the back.

Google found this http://www.jimellisaudiparts.com/produc ... 07577.html, but that seems to be for a Cabrio.

Anyone know where it's supposed to go?

Thanks,

Joe

under the cover in the engine compartment (left side in the US, not sure if it's opposite in the UK)
a cover for the ECU

there is a little pic in your link

I don't know the answer but I think you've just created a new game... Guess the part!

Thanks ArthurPE.

I've just had a look under the bonnet, and it seems there's already a cover there where I think the ECU is.

I'll take another picture of the engine bay when it's light again tomorrow - hopefully you can point me in the right direction.

Thanks for your help.

pretty sure it goes UNDER the cover you can see
it's held on by a few screws

they must have had it off doing some work and left it loose

Apologies for being slow...

In the below pic of my engine bay, where does the cover go?

I've had a look under the cover with the criss-cross pattern on it, and can't see how it fits under there.

Thanks!

Thanks!

I'll look at mine
I think it goes on the other side, that is the cabin filter, the ECU is on the other side, everything looks reversed right hand drive vs left

Hey ArthurPE,

That was really helpful, thanks.

I've now got the part in the same place as yours.

Thanks again.
