I took a tip from the forum and use heavy duty velcro on mine - never budged an inch, easily strong enough to hold the curve, and (I assume) a doddle to remove...

here's mine
I removed the bulky plastic mounting plate
used double sided tape
had an old plate and punched plugs from it to fill in the 4 screw holes on US plates
also have the ECS led's
