Front grill badge install

Post by adriangwatson » Sun Nov 11, 2012 6:16 pm

I know this is going to be a super gumby question but I can't work this out....

I bought an OEM front grill RS4 badge off the internet. I thought it should just click in straight to the grill, and that's what it seems it has been designed to do, but on the back of the badge in the middle there is a little round piece (see picture) that sticks out which stops the clips on the side from clicking on.

So am I missing a piece to go behind the grill, or am I meant to cut that bit in the middle off, or is it just user error!!?? I spent ages trying to find a position on the grill where it would click in and couldn't work it out.

find the right location from a picture
then put the RS side in first, and push sideways until it clicks in
the center tab just helps locate/retain it
