How many miles a year do you do?
How many miles a year do you do?
I have noticed that a lot of guys on here seem to be running more than one car and was wondering how many miles a year you guys average in your pride and joys.
As for me I range between 12000 and 15000 a year.

Have a company car for around town, so in the RS it's an embarrassingly low 3-4k. Registered April 07 and still under 20k

Re: How many miles a year do you do?
The RS4 is my main car at the moment and i'm averaging around 5K miles a year in it. For work I tend to fly or take a train.

Re: How many miles a year do you do?
My mileage is obscene. Already travelled 12,000 miles since picking mine up early July! However, should drop dramatically now that house move is complete. Hoping to keep under 18,000 a year from now on.

4k a year if I'm lucky. Get the train to work and only drive at the weekends.

Ave 5k a year ( over 6 years).
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
Re: How many miles a year do you do?
I do 12-15k miles per year, all in the RS.
As of next week and onwards: closer to 12k, plus a few thousand in my new city runaround. I'll have a new short commute for two days that I'd rather not fire up the beast for. Crappy parking those days too so it just makes sense and appears to be neigh on cost neutral.

My RS4 gets used for:Noyjatat wrote:I have noticed that a lot of guys on here seem to be running more than one car and was wondering how many miles a year you guys average in your pride and joys.
As for me I range between 12000 and 15000 a year.
- 1 day a week for commuting (10 miles return trip) - that's 500 miles per year.
- holidays, usually 4 weeks at 1000 miles per week - that's 4000 miles per year.
- days out - total of another 1500 miles per year.
So that's a total of around 6000 miles per year.
My other car gets used for:
- 4 days a week for commuting - that's 2000 miles per year.
- shopping, usually 40 miles per week - that's 2000 miles per year.
- errands (Dad's taxi, etc.) - that's another 2000 miles per year.
So that's also a total of 6000 miles per year - which halves the annual mileage on my RS4.

Just passed 80K, had the car 5 years in September. First 2 or 3 years of ownership averaged 20K a year, dropped for a bit but expect to be back to 20K a year now

I love my RS4 B7 Milltek non-res valved
Re: How many miles a year do you do?
My daily drive - probably 15k
How many miles a year do you do?
Mine would be 35k+ per year
But I have decided to keep my Mondeo ST TDCI, as I make a ave of £180.00 profit on expenses and it is so cheap to service etc.
I guess the RS will do not even 200 per month now and will stay under covers in the garage.
The weekend family motor is a Zafira VXR that has more dents and damage, than stolen recovered lol.
I took the kids in the RS and TBH it is a nightmare putting the ISO fix seats in and i need a blanket on the seats, from marking the leather, also have take the kids shoes of from scraping the shoes on the front seats, as they have wrecked the Zafira recaro s

Re: How many miles a year do you do?
Well done to all those who drive their RS a decent amount of miles per year. Whats the point in owning a car like that if it's stuck in your garage 5-6 days a week?!
I drive about 600 miles per week at the moment so will consider selling mine for something a little more economical if that continues. I'd rather let somebody else enjoy it than have it sat in my garage most of the time, all the while still paying insurance, tax, maintenance costs on it.
Enjoy it while you can, you'll regret not doing so when you're old and boring!
