Re: Rough running when cold
Thanks guys - dont know about the AMD remap - they can take the Torque limiter off - so will ask them to do that.
Mian reason im going for the AMD remap is that its half prcie with the millteck - so only £250 - will tide me over until i decide to go for the Sports Cats, then will get a custom re-map probably from MRC.
Plus i get the car rolling roaded with the AMD re-map sp can see what power its putting out and geting anything fixed that needs it.
Car recently serviced, just done the Wynns petrol cleaner, and have the K&N air filter.

Re: Rough running when cold
you can solve most of the SW080 problems by manually doing the same thing - 30 secs at 2000 revs sorts it.
Or just leave at idle for a couple mins say whilst loading. Its likely to be the cat warm up phase and the secondary air injection playing around with low throttle openings.

Sometimes if you use a petrol garage that is not busy then the fuel will be old and it does go off. Much better to use a busy garage where there is a goo dturn round be it bp or shell or texaco. Fill your car up and dont use it for 6 months and see how rubbish it runs.

It's very true.Terry1948 wrote:Sometimes if you use a petrol garage that is not busy then the fuel will be old and it does go off. Old advice for storing a car was to brim the tank as this prevented corrosion. However current adivce is to leave as empty as possible as modern tanks don't suffer with this problem.
