Starting problems

Hi can any one help iv got a b7 rs4 the car starts fine but after driving around in it abit when turn it off and try to start it again nothing happens it dont turn over ,after a few times pressing the start button it's fire up but it's getting worse now any suggestions.

First thing I'd suggest if absolutely nothing happens is the clutch switch.
See what happens if you hold the button down as apparently this will override the clutch switch (I think).

If the car makes a ticking noise when start button is being pushed this could indicate a faulty starter motor also.

Hi sonny I can hear a click noise when start button pressed and how do you over ride the clutch switch plz

Hold the start button down for 5-10 seconds

Definitely sounds like a starter problem. These have been problematic on B6/7 S4's and I imagine the same one is used on the RS4.

yep sure is, i had mine replaced under warranty in 2008
