Well I guess I had better add my 2p's worth as it was my car and I sold it to Andrew at Volkswizard and as stated not as a sale or return simply as a trade sale, I didn't buy a car from him either and I have no axe to grind or further interest in the sale of the car. I have replaced it with a nearly new 530d M-Sport which is ideal for the type of driving I do in the main. I am happy to answer any questions anyone has and I shall try and put people clear on the car to stop the assumptions and conjecture that might sit in peoples minds.

I bought the car from Stafford Audi with around 11K on the clock for £42K. From 11k onwards the miles were added by me and on occasion my wife. I will also confirm the following:

1: It was never crunched or damaged in my ownership and as far as I was told at the time prior to that. I am confident it is damage free on that basis.
2: The paintwork has never been touched by me bar a wheel refurb around 60K miles by Shorade in Cannock.
3: Its life has been spent doing long runs, up and down the motorway and A roads. It has not been a town car so it has done journeys it will like.
4: It was NEVER run fast from cold, not once. I have a HATE of this and it was warmed up properly. I've had M cars, a TVR and a GT3 and I am very mechanically sympathetic.
5: It has been driven hard on occasion but was always running good oil levels, up to temp and allowed to cool down.
6: It attended VMAX in 2009 and did 4 runs at 160mph showing that its speed limiter is working fine.
7: Discs and pads are new as are the tyres, Conti 3's and the best tyres I've run on the car.
8: The clutch has never been touched and it still doesn't need touching! I've never done a clutch in a car in my life and am always amazed at how often people do.
9: It has the surge at 5500rpm
10: The exhausts work and sound lovely

So many of these sort of cars have a mileage haircut, this hasn't and is genuine. It has all its service stamps, loads of receipts and all the books. It is 100% straight and is simply a good example of a high mileage motorway car. Buy with confidence on that basis would be my advice, it's a good motor.

2 weeks before the car was sold I had the AC sensor replaced as it failed and the AC was not working, simply unable to switch the ECON off. This was fixed but the bumper came off and was fitted slightly out of kilter. I'm sure this will be addressed pre-sale but that was the reason.

It might be HPI clear but damage is something that isn't always recorded. I would also call Audi dealers (and you'll have to call a couple at least to get all the history) to obtain as much Audi records as possible. Some dealers will tell you that they can't provide info and some will be very helpful. You might find its had all its panels replaced, 4 gearboxes, a new door, problems with its engine - all sorts of stuff. Also when you call the dealers, say that you are looking to purchase this car and they should be quite helpful. If you get knocked back, call another dealer saying that you are local (lie :bigblink: ) and you will be bringing the car to them for servicing and you need as much info as possible...
Well this hasn't. Simon at Stafford Audi will confirm, he was the service centre that did most work in it as a couple of times were Solihull Audi so feel free to speak with them too. It did spend a few weeks of it's life with Stafford Audi early days due to emissions lights, failed sensors and coking but it was also hitting the now common issues before most of you as I was using it and covering miles in it. Nothing major was replaced and as I stated above all panels are as they came to me, as is the gearbox and engine.

Re: £16k B7 RS4 with 109,000 miles NOW £15k!

Post by neckarsulm » Sat Jun 30, 2012 11:10 pm

FYI I still have this - now £15k
No viewings yet
Loads of "non genuine" enquiries as you can imagine
What am I doing wrong?

Wheels are now silver (tried gunmetal but hated it straight away)
Just fitted 2 new Audi aux rads as saw coolant underneath when taking wheels off
Front bumper is being repainted off the car (well it was off anyway) - first paint the car has had.
2 new parking sensors
New MOT soon

Particulary keen to get another B5 RS4 so easy upgrade path possible

Wow, I wish I'd had this kind of information on the car I bought recently. Kudos to Housemaster for all the details.
