Every RS4 owners worst nightmare but at least you're OK.

Is it advisable to post your full registration, then people can keep a look out?

Did you have a tracker fitted?

On another note where do people keep their keys at night and when they're out (without the car)?

I used to hide mine but then decided if somebody was evil enough to break in then they're going to get the keys no matter where they are, so I now leave them hung up near the door. They're hidden unless you're actually in the house. I'd rather they found the keys and took the car without dragging me or any of my family out of their beds to hand them over.

Sad world we live in when you have to live like this :-(

Really sorry to hear that chunkymonkey. Sounds like a nice spec on your car as well.

I currently keep my car keys hidden but I think DazN has the right idea about them - not worth putting yourself as risk for a lump of metal (even if it is a V8 lump).

Sorry to hear this :( we were burgled at the start of August, first time there was no cars on the drive for 12 weeks and was only out for just under 2 hours.

They left the keys and just stole all small items, gold, watches etc. Horrible feeling.

Post up the registration so people can spread the word on local forums and keep an eye out!

Hi everyone thanks for your responses, the full reg is LS56 KXB as for keys both sets were out of sight but not what i would class as hidden one in upstairs draw and one in downstairs draw, they trashed every room in the house looking for them and left with both sets plus an £8500 rolex, £5000 of wifes jewlery, £500 in cash, new digi cam and a laptop so i would say and the police agreed that it would be safest to leave them out on display as long as they cannot be seen through windows or the letter box and just hope they take the keys and go.

Terrible thing to happen, thievin scumbugs, they should be birched to within an inch of their lives..

I was thinking that the RS4 would be less of a target for thieves now that they have dropped in price, so many other higher value cars, obviously not!

I've always kept my keys in a very hidden place, maybe i should rethink that too.
