Cross-forum post overlap.

I posted this on SRS:
Can you send me a PM with a full list of mods please?

The colour is a real problem but I suppose it's only cosmetic...

Just my opinion but that sounds worse than stock. Loud yes, but sonorous no. The Akrapovic exhaust sounds decent though but then they always do.

I thought Akrapovic only did BMW & Porsche exhausts?

If they do an RS4 one I bet it costs a small fortune...

I wish they did but they don't. They do one for the GT-R as well. I asked about a titanium exhaust from AAS but they said the benefits would be minimal versus the cost, titanium exhausts are supposedly anywhere between 4 and 10 times more expensive that stainless steel.

Nope. Stock is fine, cat back is, well..... similar to most RS4's, monotonous, if not droney and ... well not quite right if you know what I mean.
Sport cats didn't really make as much as I had hoped for, in that they open up the "valved" tone a little more, becomes more raspy at 3500 revs but with milltek it is all a bit dare I say it, ordinary, but with the addition of loud cloud like plumes of "BOOOM"

I only say this as I came from a valved MTM which sounds like a screaming banshee, hollow, rasping, sharpness, not an overweight, deep belching V8 although you want the later, but in a different tone...... Hard to explain..

Didn't you get rid of the M5 after 2 weeks because of the fuel economy?

Errr. 6.3?

Ha Dave, yes. 11mpg was a bit on the fat side TBH...BUTTTTT..... With Kleeman headers, and sport cats and with an MRC Map I reckon I could get the same economy as a standard B7... ;) Maybe more an extra MPG or 2.....

Just got to learn how to drive the bugger, I hope Im able to get it sorted before the SPA trip so I can have a pro in the passenger seat for the day with me showing ho wyou actually drive a RWD car safely...... Fingers crossed...

As for snow, FFFFFOOOOK that, I can't stay out of trouble in the white stuff in a 4X4 let alone that lump, im strapping on the tennis rackets and going "A La Pied"!! :boots:
