+1; purchased Audi Roadside RAC cover three years for £175 which is the same level of cover as a Mondial recovery policy.

thanks all - all really useful info and opinions!

Sonny- how comes your clutch was covered - always thought a clutch would be wear and tear and therefore no covered by a warranty?

I was able to get Audi Pure Protection Platinum in the US for $2900 which covers my car until 79,000 miles or 12/2017.

This was for a 2008 RS4 w/ 9500mi.. apparently when the car hits 10k mi, the price nearly doubles.

Hi,
cant find my warranty documents, and coming up to the end of the year. I haven't received a renewal quote, possibly because a lot of warranty work has been carried out in the first year.
Does anyone have the contact details for the Audi warranty company?
Thanks in advance

This has been an interesting read. My 2p's worth: the house (the insurance company) always wins (makes money from us), so I prefer not to play with the odds as I see them. Extended warranties for cars just don't make sense unless you suspect you've got a lemon. Like others have suggested, I will regularly put a small amount of money aside for when things go wrong. My bespoke RS4 'policy' won't have any exclusion clauses and will pay out for wear and tear items :) It might even pay out for a carbon clean in future years if the need arises. A Milltek might be pushing it!

I have motor insurance because I have to by law.
I have incapacity insurance (with a long deferment period) because I'm self employed and it could be life changing.
I have bullet-proof winter insurance, because an off piste accident might bankrupt me.

I will not pay an insurance company any more than I have to. Especially not >£1k for an RS4 policy with a ton of restrictions. Yes it comes down to how risk averse you are. Life is a risky business!! :biggrin3:

+1 on everything you've said, although no winter insurance for me as I haven't been snowboarding since the kids came along 5yrs ago :(

That's very good of you. I have no kids/dependants so let the good times roll (and not the avalanches)!
