Tyres again - need to make a descision
Re: Tyres again - need to make a descision
I recently purchased the Hankook Ventus v12. They came to 720- US shipped to my door. I find them almost as good as Michelin PS2s at roughly half the price.

Youre the first person I've seen with the new Asymmetric 2s. Ive had 2 sets of the Asym 1s on my last car and they are brilliant.
Glad to see they 2s are up there as well.
Be great when we start seeing some independent comparisons
Obvious differences with the mk1's are better rim protection, different sidewall asthetics and significantly lower rolling resistance (from near the worst in class to nearly best now). Otherwise they feel pretty similar (although apparently perform better). One criticism I had of the mk1's was that they went off significantly when down to 3 mm's. I'll let everyone know how these perform over time.

I've just almost got through my first set of Vreds, can't remember what miles I've got, but I certainly had them on the car for snow day in 2009 and I drive hard.
I've been very happy with them, no complaints at all. In fact I'm just looking at other options now but with a view to just going with what I already have!
