We know they are good for high mileage but to the general market I'd say it was a very mileage sensitive car although I'd take an unabused high miler of a rough low miler anyday but then I'd like to think I can tell the difference, 99% of the car buying public can't and just go for low miles as an indication of how 'good' the car is. So when the time comes to sell 100k+ is going to be hard unless cheap.

I could not agree more as mileage was an important factor for me when buying, it is part of the reason I ignored the muggy on average mileage that is still at finchley audi

I agree, but don't

The market all wants low mileage to flatter their ego ... 'Ohh I've got an RS 4 with only 30k on the clock (ohh look at me, I can afford a nearly new RS 4!)

W@nkers!

However you want to put it, come resale time it will be much easier selling mine as a low mileage example

I don't think it's as simple as that especially as they are an old car now regardless of miles, those people you describe would prob buy a lower mileage and a lot newer M3.

Isn't it crazy though that £16500 separates the Bedford Audi Misano and the Meriden Modena one?!

There are always extreme examples, remember the Goodwood Green B5 RS4 up with Swifts for ages a couple of years ago; 9K miles on the clock and £39K asking price whilst most others were between £17 and 25K?

I look at the B5 RS4s to see how the B7s will fare in a few years time. Age and mileage (if below 100k) seem to be less important than condition and spec.
Gone to the dark side

I wouldn't IMHO draw parallels between B5 & B7 due to the vastly greater number of B7s that were registered in the UK.
With B5s there is very little choice, with B7s I am sure there always will be a lot more on the market, and more choice means the better your car has to be to sell.
Yes PG I do recall that one, wasn't it on sale by Bramley though?
Anyway I don't know what my point is now, you pays your money you take your choice!

With the rate the B7's appear to be hitting the scrappies via accidents and car jacking or those leaving the country then there will at some stage only be as many B7's as B5's!

That was with Bramleys. It started at 35k for ages and over time dropped to 30k and sold fairly quickly then.
