DIS/ nav question

Hi

Finally got my rs4 avant last week - 07 daytona grey with all the bits and delighted!!!

Question on the DIS - at start up I always got the computer display with mpg/ range etc but now it goes straight to showing the compass and what road I'm on?
This seems to be since i first used the Nav at the weekend - can I set the car so it always shows the computer first off??

It's one of the nav setup options. I can't recall it off the top of my head but it's in the nav setup where you get an option to show the current location. You need to UNTICK this option.

Press The Navigation button, then the Setup button and uncheck "Compass"

Talking of Compass.... does anyone have the digital compass in the rear view mirror.
IIRC it's in the manual as an option.... just intrigued if it's any good?

I don't think it was ever an option in the UK

we dont need it, we can have a compass on the nav display and a compass on the dis

Compass is on most cars in the US - with all the straight roads you can navigate east, west etc

I realise it's a gimmick.
But it was in the book... so just wondered !
